NORTHERN IRELAND FOOTBALL manager Michael O’Neill has been arrested on suspicion of drink-driving in Scotland.
The 48-year was stopped by police on the outskirts of Edinburgh on Sunday afternoon.
Police Scotland said they arrested and charged a 48-year old man in connection with drink-driving on the A720 just before 1pm on Sunday.

He is due to appear in court in Edinburgh on 10 October, just two days after Northern Ireland’s World Cup Qualifier with Norway.
In a statement, the Irish Football Association (IFA) said it was “aware of an alleged drink-driving incident involving Michael O’Neill”.
The IFA added that it was a “police matter” so they would make no further comment.
O’Neill has been in charge of Northern Ireland since 2011 and they currently sit second in Group C, five points behind Germany with six wins and a draw from their eight games to date.
Last year he guided the team to their first European Championships where they reached the last-16.
He was previously manager of Shamrock Rovers as they became the first League of Ireland team to reach the group stages of the Europa League.
